When Family Boundaries Get Blurry: My Sister’s Husband Crossed the Line

You know that feeling when someone you trust suddenly makes you question everything? That’s where I’m at. My sister married her college sweetheart, and he’s been like a big brother to me since I was a kid. Now, I’m engaged and living abroad, but we’re all super close—or so I thought. Last weekend, they visited, and we had a blast. I posted some Insta stories, and my brother-in-law dropped a fire emoji, which was fine… until he followed up with, “Borderline to wear this with family lol.” Then, “Haha, your top was holding on for dear life.” Wait, what? I tried to brush it off, but he doubled down with, “Still a handful 😂.” Now I’m stuck. Do I tell my sister? Block him? Pretend it never happened? Why do the people you trust the most sometimes make you feel the weirdest? 😳 #familydrama #boundaries #trustissues #awkwardmoments #RomanticRelationships

Maybe it's his way of saying your shirt was inappropriate 🤔 If he thinks of you as a younger sister why would he want to see you in tight revealing clothes 🤔? Then again Maybe he thought you wanted his attention dressed like that 🤔 I have large DD breast's and I'm a size 8. But my boob's are never hanging out for others. I don't need my boob's to get me attention from others.

He used the fire emoji.. he's testing you and he's testing the waters. You don't "deserve anything" because of what you chose to wear. He's being a pervert. Block him or choose to tell your sister; that is your decision. I'd want to know, but that's your decision. Good luck!

Show your parents first....If you and your sister are close, she won't get mad; but if she gets mad she already knows him. smh 🤔🤔🤔🤔🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Sounds to me like he was just acknowledging that you're growing up. You may not see it this way but, based on your long relationship, he was trying to complement you. Don't take it for what it isn't.

I hate when an in-laws think they're making innocent comments that are inappropriate to make on social media.

maybe that's just him, just his sense of humor. his post was very public any one any where could read it and to read it to me seems he didn't skip a beat it was that simple and natural for him. Gives me the idea he's just played back and found humor in the situation and is comfortable enough with you and the family to to be himself.

Just a poor attempt at a joke. No harm intended

You care too much about social media and your on line image.
