what do i do now that i found a tiny kitten outside my door?

I just found a little kitten outside my front door and I have no clue what to do next. It looks super young and a bit scared. I’ve never had a pet before, so I’m kinda freaking out. Should I take it to the vet first? What should I feed it? Also, any tips on making it feel safe would be awesome. I want to do the right thing, but I’m worried I’ll mess up.
