Would You Pay Your In-Laws if Your Partner’s Jobless?

Imagine being the only one working and your partner’s family expects YOU to keep sending $100/month to his parents—even after he lost his job. That’s what this woman’s dealing with, and now her in-laws are calling her out for still taking cheap trips (hello, credit card points!). She’s standing her ground, saying nope until things stabilize, but the family drama is real. Would you keep paying or hit pause? This is one of those situations where culture, money, and family all clash big time! #FamilyDrama #MoneyMatters #RelationshipTalk #RedditStories #FamilyRelationships

pay them for what? you know when you get married it even says in the Bible you shall leave your mother and your father and create your own life so paying them I don't understand what you will be paying for I would not give them a dime. now if they helped with bills and stuff like that that's different story than yes I would pay them back. the show appreciation and gratitude for their help but that doesn't sound like what's going on here

Hell, no. Some parents say, "They 'owe' us for raising them." Wrong! When you decide to have a kid, you are obligated to provide them with food, shelter, clothing, and medical care if needed. You have NO right to demand your kid support you later on in life as payback for raising them. That was your job.

I would’ve never paid it in the first place, definitely not supporting his family too!

Absolutely not. They will never be able to afford to have a family of their own if they are supporting his parents.
