why does my dog still look so sad all the time??

swear I’m trying my best but my dog always looks like he’s in an indie film. 😩 We go on three walks a day — minimum 30 mins each. Weekends? He’s eating better than me (I cook him fresh meat). He’s got a whole box of toys, plushies, chews, ropes… you name it. But no matter what I do, he still gives me that sad stare, barely wags his tail, and just kinda… sighs and flops down. I don’t know if I’m overthinking or if he’s actually not happy. Anyone else’s dog like this? Do I need to change something or is he just born to be dramatic? #dogmood #petparenting #dogcare

Is he friendly with other dogs? Maybe he's missing canine companionship. Have you considered bringing him to a dog park to sniff around and frolic with other dogs? Adding such outings to your routine might cheer him up. Best wishes.

My dog which I adore and do anything for her is spoiled by far. She gets all the attention in the world, exercise and eats better than me has been sad for months. I did not understand why until I realized she was uncomfortable with me grabbing her face to kiss her as usual. I thought it was maybe her teeth but come to find out she had a severe ear infection. She got her teeth cleaned and X-rays and more to find out what it was. After they exhausted all avenues they figured it out. I would have never guessed it was that.

A visit to the vet and some vitamins. Leave music or TV on so they don't feel alone. Hope he gets better.
