Why is job hunting so damn hard?

Why does everyone talk like jobs are just falling off trees? Seriously, I’ve been out here applying left and right, and nothing. I can't even land a gig as a cashier. It's not like I'm shooting for the moon or something, just a decent position to keep things rolling. Everyone’s like, 'Just keep applying, you’ll get it.' Well, that doesn’t help when all I’m getting is radio silence. Honestly, it’s draining and kinda makes you feel like a loser even when you know it’s not your fault.
