Deciding on a Hysterectomy—It's Complicated

Even when you know you’re done having kids, saying goodbye to your uterus can bring on a wave of unexpected emotions. I’m about to have a hysterectomy to relieve severe fibroid issues and while I’m relieved to leave painful periods behind, part of me feels sad—like I’m closing a chapter I loved. Anyone else go through this? If so, how did you cope? WomenHealth #HysterectomyJourney #RealTalk #MomLife #Health

I had a full hysterectomy. It is painful but the best thing I ever had done. No more heavy periods. No worrying about getting pregnant.I've never regretted it.
