Been dating this guy for a few months and while most things are great, one pattern is seriously messing with my head. Every time I say something he doesn’t like, he disappears for a few days, then calls me up and says something like “if this keeps happening, I’ll have to break up with you.” It’s not like I’m yelling or being rude—last time it happened, I told him I was grabbing brunch with a friend who was going through a tough time. We had no plans, but he still said I made him feel like he’s not a priority. Then came the usual silent treatment + breakup threat combo. When I finally brought up how this behavior makes me feel unsafe, he told me I’m just “too sensitive” and not emotionally intelligent enough to get where he’s coming from. Am I being gaslit here?
