Immediately reward them with treats and lots of praise. A few key things to remember: 👉 Immediate reward: Dogs have short memory, so timing matters. 👉 Excited praise: Dogs pick up on your emotions – the happier you are, the more they’ll associate it with doing it right. 👉 Reward with treats and playtime: It’s not just about food; make it fun! But if they don’t get it right, no shouting! They don’t understand the concept of a “bathroom,” so stay calm.
