Radar Online reported that Travolta is someone Harry once saw as a close friend after their friendship grew stronger last year when they bonded over shared grief, flying, and a connection to Princess Diana.
However, their friendship dynamic changed when Travolta publicly praised actor Sam Asghari and started spending more time with him.
"It feels like yet another opportunity has been taken away," an insider shared with the publication. "John was someone I genuinely relied on."
Last year, Travolta inducted King Charles’ son as a 'Living Legend of Aviation,' which led to backlash because he doesn’t have the same flying experience as past recipients like Neil Armstrong.
However, sources say the two formed a real friendship after having lunch at the Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills in early 2023.
"They connected instantly. It wasn't only about aircraft, helicopters, or being dads – or even that famous dance with Diana,” a Sussex source shared.
