Why is U.S. Healthcare So Expensive?

Every time I get a medical bill, I feel like I need to sit down and brace myself. Even with insurance, the out-of-pocket costs are wild. I honestly don’t understand how anyone can afford to get sick here. It’s stressful just thinking about a simple doctor’s visit, let alone an emergency. People shouldn’t have to choose between paying rent and getting treatment. It feels like the system is set up to make you fail unless you’re rich.
